We're hosting 5 outdoor skating classes this summer.

Thank you, Sick Town! We had an amazing response to our Pop-Up Classes.

 

In order to maintain a safe and positive learning environment, we are no longer taking any more registrations or allowing drop-ins. If you would still like to take this class, we may offer another one if we get enough interest.  Please email sicktowntraining@gmail.com to get on a waiting list and stay updated for news of future classes.

Get all the basic skills you need to enjoy roller skating in outdoor spaces!

Get a chance to skate with skaters from the Sick Town roller derby team!

Learn new locations around Corvallis to strap on your skates and practice!

CLASS REQUIREMENTS

For Skaters 18 years and older.  This is a Skate-at-your-own-Risk activity.  Participants will be required to sign a waiver prior to participating. Our 2021 Pop-Up Skate Classes are strictly BYO Gear. Attendees are required to bring to each class their own properly fitted skating gear including: skates, helmet, elbow pads, wrist guards, and knee pads.

Expect to be turned away if you arrive without ALL of These important items.

Location:  Crescent Valley High School Parking lot - far west end by the baseball field. Please park outside of this area.

Saturday, July 31 -10:00 am
 Topics:  Review, Stepping/Quick feet, Gliding, Transitions (i.e. Turning Around)

Location:  Entryway to the Covered Bridge Path on SW Campus Way and corner of SW 35th St (by the parking lot for OSU Oldfield Animal Teaching Facility)

Location:  Crystal Lake Sports Park - 100 SE Fischer Ln (park in the parking lot at the end of Fischer Ln and meet at the entrance of the park)
