Event Staff

Are you interested in track prep, door help, crowd control, security, or manning the Sick Town Derby Dames merchandise table?  Interested in getting into a bout for free?  Then contact us at sicktownderbydames@gmail.com and let us know how you’d like to help us out.

Mascots

Are you a former summer camp counselor or cheerleader?  Are you involved in theatre or drama?  Do you like getting in front of large crowds and rousing them out of their seats?  Do you wish every day was dress up day?  Then showcase your outgoing nature and creativity as a league or team mascot and get into a bout for free!   Contact sicktownderbydames@gmail.com for information on representing and cheering us on.

Medics

Are you an EMT?  A Triage Nurse?  Working in or studying Sports Medicine?  Volunteer to help out as a Medic and get into a bout for free!  Although our referees strive to keep the track environment and skaters as safe as possible, accidents do happen.  Contact us at sicktownderbydames@gmail.com and let us know that you’re interested in bandaging and splinting scraped up and banged up Derby Dames.

Referees

Are you a male who loves to skate and wants to get involved in roller derby?  Are you a woman who loves to skate but you don’t want to get knocked on your bum by another derby girl?  Do you have a fondness for shiny whistles, black & white stripes, and going by the book?   Then join our volunteer crew of referees!  Once you’ve mastered the rules, you will be ensuring that our Derby Dames are abiding by the latest WFTDA rules and keeping themselves and others safe.  Contact us at sicktownderbydames@gmail.com and let us know you’d like to referee.

Statisticians

Are you a math teacher, accountant or statistician by day?  Are you adamant about balancing your checkbook each month?  Do you secretly enjoy it?  When you hear stats being rattled off by a sports commentator, does it make your heart race?  Do you think numbers are just plain sexy?  Then join our volunteer crew of statisticians!  Our stats crew does an important job of keeping track of each and every derby girl at a bout and how many points she’s scored and penalties she’s accrued.  If you are interested in wearing black & white stripes and toting a clipboard, then contact us at sicktownderbydames@gmail.com and let us know you’d like to join our stats crew.
